Group Activities
IHH Healthcare Berhad ("IHH or the Group") is a leading international provider of premium healthcare services in  Asia and Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa ("CEEMENA"). IHH is the world's second largest listed healthcare operator by market capitalisation and is the leading player in its home markets of Singapore, Malaysia and Turkey, and in the key markets of the People's Republic of China ("China"), Hong Kong and India. The Group is also present in Brunei, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates ("the UAE") and Macedonia.

IHH's business units operate over 5,000 licensed beds in 33 hospitals as well as medical centres, clinics and ancillary healthcare businesses across nine countries, with over 3,700 new beds in the pipeline to be delivered through new hospital developments and expansion of existing facilities. IHH's "Mount Elizabeth", "Gleneagles", "Pantai" and "Acibadem" brands are well-known in Asia and Central and Eastern Europe, with a growing presence in the Middle East.

In Singapore, IHH is the number one private healthcare provider by number of licensed beds. The Group added an additional 180 licensed beds when the first phase of IHH's new Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital was opened on 1 July 2012. This number will reach 333 once it is fully operational. IHH's "Mount Elizabeth" and "Gleneagles" brands are among the most prestigious hospital brands in Southeast Asia, according to branding research specialists Millward Brown.

In Malaysia, IHH's hospital network, operating under the "Pantai" and "Gleneagles" brands, is the second largest private healthcare provider in the country by number of licensed beds. IHH also operates  International Medical University which offers medical, pharmacy, nursing, dentistry, health science and complementary medicine programmes. IHH also owns the Twin Towers Medical Centre KLCC.

In Turkey, the Acibadem integrated healthcare chain – in which IHH hold a 60% share –  operates more than 1,991 licensed and operational beds and launched one of the first and largest cord blood banks in Turkey.  The Acibadem Group is Turkey's largest private healthcare provider with a network of 15 hospitals in Turkey and one in Macedonia, and provides a fully integrated healthcare services network offering. It also runs laboratory and pathology services, stem cell facilities, a range of emergency assistance and home health services, hospital project management and other related services.

In India, IHH has a market presence through IHH's strategic partnership with Apollo Hospital Enterprise Limited, one of India's largest private healthcare providers. As at December 2012, IHH had an 11.2% stake in Apollo. Apart from the investment stake, IHH has a 50-50 joint venture with Apollo for the Apollo-Gleneagles Hospital in Kolkata and another for Apollo Gleneagles PET-CT Centre in Hyderabad.

In Greater China, IHH is a major international private healthcare player with nine primary care clinics and medical centres in Shanghai and Chengdu, and one medical centre in Hong Kong.
